So I planned a lot to be done on that first weeks devlog and I apologize for not pushing an update. The stuff I had planned was a lot bigger than anticipated and I'm still working on the troops so that they work exactly as I planned them to. I don't want to release an update that doesn't work.
I also have gotten a lot of new assets and I will be replacing all the previous tiles with more detailed and better looking models, however this will take more time before I can push an update. I have fixed the whole resource/tile placing issue. Below is a list what will be released in the next update; it's going to be a big one.
New Content:
- Troop Types:
- Warrior: general unit, basic troop
- Heavy Warrior: Heavy armored infantry
- Knights: cavalry, good against infantry most units
- Anti-Cavalry: Good against... well... Cavalry
- Archers: Good against non-heavy armored troops
- Arbelist (Crossbowman): Good against heavily armored infantry
- Enemies pillage tiles, making it so that they don't output anything, and must be repaired.
- Enemies will attack the gate of the castle, if they get in you lose.
- Options Menu
Changed/Altered Content:
- Overhaul of the currently existing Resource Manager that will allow the player to choose what resource to use and the proficiency of the tile will be dependent on the resource used.
- Tiles replaced with more detailed better looking tiles.
Bug Fixes:
- Make it so that troops can no longer walk on water.
- Fix of the tiles taking the wrong resource on build.
- Fix the issue with the camera zooming in too far.
